  I recently purchased paint from Cloverdale after being assured by staff that they could provide an exact colour match of my old paint which was from a different manufacturer. Trusting the paints were identical I used my old paint to do the cutting-in, and finished the walls with the Cloverdale paint. When the walls dried it was clearly obvious the two paints were not a colour match resulting in my having to do the cutting-in all over again in three rooms using the Cloverdale paint. The result was I started with off-white walls and ended up with pale yellow. When I complained to staff later I was told the paint may NOT be an exact match but is close. Had I been properly informed in the beginning I would not have used two different manufacturers paint. Unfortunate and time-consuming lesson learned!
